Chartered Clinical Psychologist

Associate Professor in Practice Psychology

I have been practising as a  chartered Clinical Psychologist for over 30 years. For around 20 years I was also working at Middlesex University  where I  was an Associate Professor. As well as teaching and supervising I publish academic and popular books and articles

Therapeutically I work together with you to help you understand and cope with a range of experiences related to: anxiety, depression, relationships, transitions and other life stresses. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and integrate this with other approaches, usually drawing on aspects of the unconscious, relationships, families. culture and wider social contexts. I am trained in family therapy and  hold a  higher education teaching qualification (PGCHE). I enjoy teaching, training, clinical supervision and organisational consultancy around matters of mental health and well being.

I am registered with the Health Care and Professionals Council (HCPC) and with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
